Lands’ End to John O’Groats – LEJOG route

Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease, and we want to help find a cure.
So when we spoke to Catherine Howe of Commercial Credit Control and she told us all about her intention to cycle from Lands’ End to John O’Groats (LEJOG) in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, we jumped on board to offer sponsorship for the event here at BDP Agency.

We think it’s a fantastic cause and Catherine needed to raise £3,000 in sponsorship which all goes to the charity.

Catherine set about training for the cycle ride of 1046 miles across the country in just 13 days. Most of us would not even consider attempting such a challenge, although Catherine is not your average individual – new to cycling, Catherine is determined, energetic and enjoys breaking the mould to push herself both physically and mentally, so we had no doubt that she would achieve her goals.

LEJOG schedule

Starting on the 26th June, Catherine’s itinerary for the LEJOG route was as follows:

The most common cause of dementia is Alzheimer’s disease, affecting around 465,000 people in the UK. The disease effects can include loss of memory, mood changes, and problems with communication and reasoning.

Catherine set out on the LEJOG cycle ride on 23rd June for 13 days and this was a complete success and we are extremely pleased that Catherine has helped make a difference.
